For that reason, it is not surprising that every year more and more people escape from other countries and cities and come to the Costa del Sol in search of good weather and those rays of sunshine. Generally in the summer we focus on enjoying the pool and the beach, but we forget to do other types of tourism. A good reason to come during the winter months is to visit the white villages of the Costa del Sol.

 

You could make a getaway to Mijas Pueblo, which is very close to Torremolinos and Benalmádena. It extends throughout the Mijas mountain range to the coast. You will fall in love with its streets and balconies decorated with colourful flowers and plants.

 

 

 

While in other parts of Spain the snow arrives or it is impossible to be outdoors, on the Costa del Sol we can afford to walk along the beach. One of the ones we like the most is Torremolinos, where you have 7 kilometres divided by its four main beaches. The best known are Playa de La Carihuela and Bajondillo.

 

 

 

Puerto Marina is the port of the city of Benalmádena. Whether it is day or night, you will love to see this space where Arabic-style architecture is combined with Gaudí's. That is why it has been considered the "Best Marina in the World" on two occasions. Around it you have a wide variety of gastronomic offers or you can even take a boat trip.

 

 

If there is something that stands out on the entire Costa del Sol, it is the gastronomy. Whether you are in Torremolinos, Benalmádena or the capital of Malaga, you can delight yourself with some of the specialities such as espeto or fried fish.
